Go Cards!

So to me what can be better than the Cards winning and the Blues making the playoffs? The game was a cold one, but it was a goodie to watch. Also the company was good and I think everyone enjoyed the endless beer and food.

Our Fun with Trains

h
During our Spring Break, Hagen and I decided to go with our friends to the Museum of Transportation. The kids had a blast running around the trains and exploring. Our visit was awesome because we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

At the Movies

So I have to admit I just watched this Vampire movie, because I am a fool for vampire movies. The title is "30 Days of Night" and Josh Hartnet is in the flick. I got to watch it during Hagen's nap time, which worked out great. It is a little bloody, nope I take that back it is way bloody. Anyways I was really getting into the film, and it wasn't the cheesiest Vampire film I have seen. Then came the end, ugh! I was so disappointed with the ending. I hope the writers read this and go "you know what she is right." Don't want to ruin the ending for anyone that has not seen it. Also with the craze with Twilight, it makes you wonder the history behind the imagination and how the legend of the Vampire came about. Things that make you go Hmmm.

Happy New Years to everyone a little late. Oops! Well I have high hopes for this year, but then I again I have high hopes for every year. I hate to see 2008 go, cause there were plenty of good times. I am glad that everyone had a safe and fun holiday. We had a good night as well. Just some Hagies for dinner and bowling fun.

Holidays are Almost Over

Thanks to all for a great holiday. The parties were great, the food was plenty, and presents were appreciated. I love this holiday and everything that comes with it, but there is one thing that I am not a fan of. Well considering that my child gets cracked out with candy, cookies, and coffee at these holiday events, when it comes time for us to rest there is not much resting. After the fun Christmas Eve, Hagen was a restless sleeper which made us restless sleepers. The next day we didn't allow the candy and made him drink water and juice, but when it came time for sleep, we had a repeat of the night before. With some more Christmas parties to attend today, we will see how this evenings sleep pattern will go. Hopefully things in the bed will go back to normal after the excitement is over. Happy Holidays!!!

Terrible 2

You hear of these horror stories about how your sweet child makes this transformation from a quiet little baby to this tantrum throwing beast. My son recently turned 2, and it seems that the stories are starting to come true. We had a birthday party for my son and things were going good.
Then over Thanksgiving weekend the beast started to make it's way to the surface. It seems like this whining and crying phase is just beginning for my boyfriend and I to deal with. We were told from our Parents as Teachers instructor to just ignore the tantrums and he will stop. I am sorry after 30 minutes of the screaming, it makes it hard to ignore. Some days are better than others of course. We now might go days without a huge fit, but when they do occur you better stand back. The arms and legs start swinging and you get to hear this wild animal scream. Then once the fit is over, the kid is all happy and acts like nothing has happened. Crazy I tell you. I have to admit that I do love this age because he is talking so much and you never know what is going to come out of his mouth. He is so smart and is picking things up way to fast, but at the same time it is fun.
